"Furtastic" is a new upcomming danish outdoor Furmeet styled convention - going live 8-10 july 2011!
Our cozy boyscout camp venue can accommodate up to 60 people, and offers lots of options for outdoor activities, fresh air, sun and nature.

Age restriction for Furtastic is 16 years old though some special rules apply.
People under 18 are not allowed to be drunk or buy alcohol from the bar during the convention according to danish law.

Hmm, a scout camp. The former scout in me is interested :P
Can't promise anything myself atm, but I'll definitely keep it in mind.
Are there any closure dates we need to keep in mind atm?
For resten:
100 Euro = 820 kroner etter dagens valuta. Endringer i kurs vil naturligvis skje.

Dates and such will be announced soon. We have already booked the camp but you will have pleanty of time to register should you feel for it :)
The price will also be in danish crowns but we just wrote euros because thats the currency most of europe work with :)

If we discover someone over 18 buying alcohol to someone under 18 they are getting removed from the convention since that is also illegal.

sooh.. if I wanted to join (im 15 by then) I cant drink alcohol? hmm... sounds fair to me.
but, what with burn, redbull, urge intense or drinks like that? C:
and I want to go ;O;

I hope other people is enough grown up to follow this rule too.. Not to buy alcohol to people under 18..
I'm going to be a bit blunt and say that some aren't old enough to buy beer even when they pass 18 :p
Though the age/alcohol restriction is pretty basic/standardized. Nothing surprising from my end at least.

You are allowed to drink energy drinks and sodas and what do i know but anything containing alcohol is forbidden. Like beer or soda pops or real booze like vodka and rum and the like

But if I and my BF would go, then we would like some privacy... It's just 2 private rooms, and yet those have 4 beds.. So that's 2 couples in one room..
Just to ask, Is it any motel/hotel near by.. In case someone would like more privacy than 24/25 other people/furs around you :P

We understand some people are to too keen on sharing a big room with lots of people, thats why we offer people can bring their own tent. There is a lot of space around the main hose where you can put up your tent. I wish i could just promise everyone could get those private rooms but unfortunately that is not possible.
There is no hotel or motel close by since we are 6km away from the nearest buss stop. We are particularly in the middle of fucking no where. But we will arrange a driving service to pick people up. More about that later.

Everyone is welcome at Furtastic! Fur or not fur. We just want to have a great time together no matter if you are fur or anime fan or human or what not :)

So far we have only gotten positive response but we would love to hear what you think about it. Critique is also most welcome. We are trying to make this the best experience for YOU. So please dont hesitate to voice your opinions :)

Oh, I will do everything in my power to get my tail there. Even though there might be some major things happening in my life around April heh.
Anyhow, we usualy visit Denmark around that time almost every year.
Now I used to be a scout, so I`ve got a cool idea for an activity we used to do.
Build catapults out of timber and have a water war with waterbaloons!
They`re not that hard to build really, all you need is some timber, rope, and somthing to put the waterbaloons in. Anyway, it would be cool to have like furry themed camp fire tails and such.
Uhm, will there be an art stand? If so I`m considering making a few A3 laminated posters, badges and such, Also if anybody would like some prints or anything at all I`m more than happy to help out, since I have my own design studio.

Maybe, It's good time thinking of going ther, so I'm saying maybe (Wnat, I mean I want to finnish my partical suit before doing anything else)

We're currently looking in to the posibility of combining a family holiday with the con.
If this deal goes trough, you'll have my answer withinn one or two weeks.
So, is anyone else going?

It seems like some rumors have been going around, that Furtastic will be canceled if there will not be enough attendees, and I would just like to clarify: Furtastic will NOT be canceled by any means! We WILL go through with this so don't hold back. Come and join us for a weekend of fun, fresh air and nature!

After reading through all the info on the page, both here and furtastic.dk, I'm a little annoyed that I can't make it this year, it's too close to the day I'm heading for Orlando.
It seems to be a very nice place to be and to get to know people. Imagine the stories around the bonfire... ^-^
However if this is a success (which by the look of it is guaranteed) and it's repeated next year I'm probably joining. Hopefully in the same location as it's a beauty!

updated news
We have 2 new members on the furtastic staff.
Ashley have signed up as our kitchen chef, so she will make us all some tasty dinner treats.
Craeque have been signed on as our photographer at Furtastic, he will take pictures during the event, and there will also be offered photo sessions for the fur suiters in the lush green nature.
Furtastic T-shirt
Yep furtastic have a T-shirt option, and all who register for sponsor, will get their names written on the back.
Barbecue party
Saturday there will be a big barbecue party.
Vegetarian menu's are optional.
A bar will be open'd where you will be served cold ones by the booze husky. (drinks will be very cheap)
marshmallows and crackers will be handed out to roast over the camp fire.
Treasure hunt and games
Friday there will be a Treasure hunt and some other activities that you can expect to find at a scout camp.
This is of course completely voluntarily, but we would recommend it, as it will give you a chance to mingle with new furs.
Registration end at June 4, and the registration is still only 75 euro, all food included.
